Education and training fund
Improving the mental health well being of young people
In 2015/16 we launched an initiative aimed at improving the mental health wellbeing of young people. 33 organisations were funded to run projects to improve mental health services for children and young people.
2017/18 Education and Training Fund – Vulnerable Groups
Following the success of the projects funded in 2015/16, we are now running a procurement exercise to commission providers to deliver initiatives that support workforce transformation, development and training that aim to improve mental health outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
A total of £3million funding is available and suitably qualified providers are invited to tender for the delivery of this vision. To submit a tender please visit the Government contracts finder website for more information.
Invitation to tender application opens from Monday 19 December 2016 to Monday 23 January 2017 at 12.00.
Please note, all queries regarding this exercise should be made via the application portal. HEE is unable to directly respond to queries during the tender exercise. Visit our frequently asked questions page for additional useful information.
Professor Lisa Bayliss-Pratt, Director of Nursing and Deputy Director of Education and Quality:
“I am excited by the creation of the Children and Young People’s Education and Training fund, as it will provide a wonderful opportunity for organisations - be they NHS or private providers, commissioners, researchers or those working in social care settings, to introduce and enhance services to transform the lives of children and young people and their families through workforce education and training."
