Regional Alumni Network Event
Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy held an Alumni Networking event with a masterclass from Chris Lawrence-Pietroni on 1 March 2017.
It gave alumni the chance to learn more about Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy's leadership and organisation development offers including:
- communities of practice
- coaching and mentoring
- diversity and inclusion
- systems leadership
We were delighted to secure the experience and expertise of Chris Lawrence-Pietroni to a deliver a practical, skills-based masterclass for us on Narrative as a Systems Leadership Practice.
His masterclass helped participants develop their public narrative in relation to having accessed leadership development and the impact they were having on 'the system' as a result of it.
Chris is a student and colleague of renowned scholar Professor Marshall Ganz (Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University) and has taught narrative skills in the context of systems leadership to public sector leaders in the NHS, Local Government and the Civil Service as well as working widely in the US and Europe. Chris is a Systems Enabler for The Leadership Centre, and Associate at the Kings Fund and teaches Public Leadership at the University of Birmingham.
The Alumni Network Event was open to NHS staff and those who provide government-funded care and who had completed or taking part in a Leadership Development Programme offered by the NHS Leadership Academy, the Accelerate Programme or Health Education England's Clinical Leadership Fellows Programme.
