Employability

There are various employability schemes which are designed to help young people who don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience for example:  Traineeships funded by Job Centre Plus, The Cutlers Programme in Sheffield and the Princes Trust – Get into Healthcare Programme.  On these schemes they get the opportunity to enter into an education and training programme with work experience that unlocks their potential and prepares them for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready’.

We have been working with the Prince’s Trust on the Get into Healthcare Programme; The Prince’s Trust programme supports disadvantaged young people into work within the NHS. The NHS will benefit from a talent pool of motivated young people who share its core values – values which are so important as the NHS seeks to continually improve the standards of care in and meet the demographic challenge of an ageing population.
