School of Medicines Optimisation

Health Education England have recently launched the School of Medicines Optimisation, working across Yorkshire and the Humber.

Head of School, Professor Liz Kay said,

the outcomes of care for patients and the public with medicines is dependent upon the skills of staff across all sectors of health and social services. This new School offers us the opportunity to improve patient care and improve the experience of our learners on their career journeyI am delighted to be working with colleagues across the breadth of Yorkshire and The Humber to establish our new School."

The new multi-professional School will work together with stakeholders on medicines education and training with a wide range of staff across all workforce groups in health and social care, to support patients to improve outcomes from medicines use.

The School aims to provide leadership and advice, quality assurance of learning, support for workforce transformation  and innovation in education provision.
