It is recognised that to truly realise the changes required by the NHS to meet the triple aim of The Five Year Forward View, quality, finance & health inequality gap, we need to enable systems to integrate and be more efficient & effective by having “one workforce conversation” in a joined up way.
As experienced leaders you all have exceptional skills to hand, however, we realise that the changing architecture will require different skill sets.
Our intention therefore is to work with you to develop these within your STP groups to enable successful outcomes.
Contained within this development opportunity you will be able to access a variety of development interventions. The offer is designed to accommodate differing learning approaches through our collaboration with NHS National Leadership Academy (NHS NLA) and our highly skilled expert partners.

NHS leadership academy STP Nye Bevan programme
Our inspiring Nye Bevan programme has been specifically designed to develop senior leaders. It’s been shown to accelerate individuals into executive roles, helping them perform better at board level, and help boards better meet our challenges today and enable change for tomorrow, to improve people’s health, care, treatment and experiences of the NHS.
NHS leadership academy Developing Systems Leadership
The NHS leadership academy document Developing System leadership document, describes a way of understanding 'Systems leadership'. It aims to be the starting point of a conversation between those charged with bringing the Five Year Forward View (FYFV) into reality via the implementation of the Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs), and the Leadership Development Partners (LDPs) of the NHS Leadership Academy who can support developing the capacity and capability of leaders needs to work across organisational boundaries in a complex and changing enviroment.
