Graduate Management Trainee Scheme (GMTS)

Joining the NHS GMTS puts you on the road to developing the skills and confidence you need to lead our organisation through its transformation into an ever more efficient, successful and professional  health care service.

It’s a multi-award winning scheme, where you'll enjoy mentoring, support and first class training from some of the most brilliant minds in and outside the NHS. You’ll experience some truly life defining moments. You’ll influence decisions that improve the lives of millions of people. And, after two years (or two and a half if you opt for finance), you'll be ready to take your career further than you thought possible.

What can Trainees expect from placements in the West Midlands?

We provide support and guidance for both graduates and organisations participating in the scheme. This ranges from training and development for programme and placement managers, to supporting Trainee Forums – the local networking group for Graduates in the West Midlands area.

The West Midlands region has a large and complex geography – from densely populated inner cities to large rural spaces. These bring some unique challenges and opportunities for creative systems working. Our organisations are able to showcase this through the variety of placements on offer.

Later in 2016 we hope to have more information showcasing all our organisations and the range and bredth of placement a graduate can expect to have working in the West Midlands.

In the meantime, for more information about being a GMTS Trainee in the West Midlands area, please contact out team at  leadership@wm.hee.nhs.uk
