Wonderful Workforce Solution of the Year
This award recognises the team or individual who has improved patient care through taking a hard look at who does what in a team, unit, ward or practice and introduced a new role/s and/or changed the skills of people in the team.
Change can be difficult to implement and hard to quantify. We want to shine the light on the people or team who have implemented change and made a difference. If you are part of this team, or know somebody who has made a change and taken everybody with them, then we want to know.
The Health Education Wessex strategic goal of Productive People sets out the ambition that workforce re-engineering impacts positively on staff career aspirations and morale as well as ensuring that we develop sustainable skill mix and innovative workforce models.
Overall themes that the judges will be looking for across all categories, are people and initiatives:
- where workforce development or education and training have made a difference to the quality of services and patient care and service user experience
- who uphold the values of the NHS Constitution; demonstrating care, compassion and respect
- who have worked in partnership across teams, professions and organisations
- which support the development of cultures of learning.
