Professional development for non-medical health professionals
Courses covering community and primary workforce development and advancing practice in acute and urgent care settings for nurses and allied health professionals.
These programmes have been developed for nurses, midwives, allied health professionals and pharmacists and are delivered by the University of the West of England and Plymouth University.
The contracts consist of the following provision:
- Multiprofessional common foundation programmes
- Condition specific modules
- Workshops and masterclasses
- Leadership development

Plymouth University runs courses for people working in Devon, Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly.
The University of the West of England runs courses in advanced practice and urgent care and in community and primary care workforce development for people working in Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon or Wiltshire.
