Identifying good practice

Excellent and innovative work on apprenticeships is taking place across north west London and wider. Sharing of this good work is crucial in learning and improving services.

This webpage will have case studies from the experience of the apprentices themselves and the experience of the line managers employing apprentices.

This will not only share good practice but will also help us to dispel some of the myths about apprenticeships that remain. We will show that apprenticeships are not just for the young, that they are not just for under achievers or, as degree apprenticeships clearly contradict, for people that couldn’t go to university.

One of the key new developments for levy paying employers is the opportunity and capacity for employer to be able to deliver apprenticeships to their staff and drawn down the funding from the levy. We have case studies on how trusts have become apprenticeship training providers.

At the foot of the page under ‘related documents’ you can read or download some of our case studies.
