Health Education England in the north east and north Cumbria have an arrangement whereby one trust employs all specialty and GP trainee doctors in the northern region. This is refered to as a lead employer trust (LET).
The LET team itself is a dedicated group of talented and friendly HR professionals and support staff that are available to ensure that your employment whilst training runs as smoothly as possible.
What the LET do?
The LET work in partnership with the Health Education England in the north east to ensure you are supported throughout your career. They handle all human resources and payroll matters including on-call banding, travel expenses and most importantly, making sure you get paid. The LET are also responsible for the recruitment and selection of specialty and GP trainees and manage your whole application process including the recruitment assessment centres we hold each year – hopefully we will see you there.
