Leadership and Management Programme
The East Midlands Leadership and Management Programme (LMP) aims to equip postgraduate medical, dental and public health doctors in training with leadership and management knowledge, skills and behaviours that apply to everyday practice, to enable them to make a difference in their working environment and ultimately improve patient care.
The Leadership and Management Programme is offered as an option and is not mandatory. However, it offers a means for doctors in training to demonstrate evidence of Leadership and Management competence which is a requirement for the Certificate of Completion in Training (CCT).
This bespoke programme is offered to East Midlands Trainees only, from Core grade to CCT and the sessions are free of charge. The sessions are delivered by a locally recruited faculty of expert clinical educators and takes place within post graduate education centres across the East Midlands region.
Tier 1 comprises six full days of face to face sessions covering important aspects of the leadership and management framework. Each day is split into two 3.5 hour sessions and are independent of one another. The sessions are designed to build on each other, however they can also be completed out of order if necessary which adds to the flexibility of the programme:

*Courses 11 and 12 are run as one whole day session.
