We are Health Education England. Working across the East Midlands, we are responsible for the education, training and workforce planning for all NHS staff.
HEE is here to improve the quality of healthcare for the people and patients of England through education, training and lifelong development of staff. Working across the East Midlands, we aim to provide high quality education and training to all health professionals including the next generation of doctors, dentists and nurses across the area. To do this effectively and to ensure the best possible outcomes and experience for patients and people, we work closely with local healthcare providers and key stakeholders so that our work is driven by patient needs.
We are custodians of the NHS Constitution and promote the NHS values. Our vision is to provide the right workforce, with the right skills and values, in the right place at the right time to better meet the needs and wants of patients – now and in the future.
Our geography spans across the East Midlands and includes Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. We have a population of 4.5 million people.
Each year Health Education England staff who work in the East Midlands are asked to nominate charities who they would like to be our chosen charity of the year. These nominations are then offered for all colleagues to vote on.Read More
