“I am delighted to announce John Burdett’s appointment as Audit Committee Chair of Health Education England.  He is committed to NHS Values and has a breadth of experience as an executive and national non-executive, including Audit Chair roles. This will equip him for this challenging role, in establishing an effective audit committee to ensure appropriate financial governance and control of education and training resources.”

John Burdett said:

“I am very much looking forward to working as part of the new HEE team to help improve the quality and value for money of health education and training.  It is an exciting opportunity for me to make use of my private and public sector experience in the development of the new education and training system.”
